Sanford Parker IM Stick Black Barrel/Ink Medium Point Roller Ball Pen (1750423) Review

I typically like having a nicer pen for work and typically I end up loosing them, so I've purchased many over the years. For the price the Parker IM Roller Ball is an excellent pen. Nice feel in your hand (has some weight to it) and the roller ball performs well. May not be for foks who don't like rollerballs, but otherwise a excellent choice!

Montblanc Starwalker Cool Blue - Ballpoint Pen Review

Montblanc Starwalker Cool Blue - Ballpoint Pen
Average Reviews:

You won't find a better ballpoint pen than this one. They write very smooth and even.
It has a beautiful design. Because of its weight and the curves of its body, you have a firm and steady grip on the pen.
The color of the pen I own is blue. This means that most of the time the color will be dark blue unless you hold it in different ways - the best thing to do is to use daylight - so you can see a marvelous light blue shade (like in the picture). In short: it's a work of art.
If you don't use the ballpoint pen for a few days the ink will dry up a little but when you use it again it regains its smoothness very rapidly. This is the best ball-pen you can buy.

The alleged Mont Blanc pen that I bought was a total fake. I bought it for my boyfriend's law school graduation, and I received it and everything seemed OK. He took it to the Mont Blanc store to get it engraved, and they identified the pen as a fake. They said it was an excellent fake, but fake nonetheless. Don't be fooled by this vendor.

I have always loved the feel and print of a fountain pen but have not fared well in writing with one. This pen accepts standard fountain pen ink from a bottle and writes really well. It has not leaked despite being knocked around in my briefcase and is carried on a daily commute on the NYC Subway system.

Homey Lichtenstein LTD Simpsons Acme Pen Review

Homey Lichtenstein LTD Simpsons Acme Pen
Average Reviews:

This Acme Writing Tools Pen is solid, feels good in the hand, and is a quality pen. It comes as a rollerball, and you can order a fountain pen conversion kit from this supplier.
Acme pens increase in value when the limited edition is sold out, so you might consider this an investment.
I own several Acme pens (I will not admit to the actual number) and use a couple of them daily. A variety of roller ball, felt tip, and fountain pen refills are available, as well as dozens of colors of bottled ink. In addition, 3 different custom pen tips/grips are available.
I have dealt with this vendor many times and recommend him. Good communication, fast shipping, and reliable.

I have this pen. If you enjoy writing with a fountian pen or have never tried a fountian pen this is a good choice. It has a metal barrel, medium nib, and each ones coloration appears to be unique. I've written with many fountian pens but this one glides smoothly across the page as though on a bed of air. Truly a pleasure to write with. of course this is just my humble opinion, YMMV.

$250 Tourneau 4001 Gold Pen NIB Review

$250 Tourneau 4001 Gold Pen NIB
Average Reviews:

I purchased two of these pens because it appeared to be such a great deal. Wrong!! The pen looks nice, is gold plated , however, the pen is so heavy that I cannot write with the cap on the pen. The pens body is made of a very thick metal, maybe brass. The cap goes on so tight that it is very difficult to get off.I have never had such a heavy pen in my hand, and I have been writing for 70 years. With all the difficulty with both of the pens, I think that $15.00 would be a more appropiate selling price.

Noodlers Rollerball Pen - The Nib Creaper Review

Noodlers Rollerball Pen - The Nib Creaper
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great writing instrument for fountain pen enthusiasts or anyone else that appreciates the wide array of options for bottled ink. I also appreciate being able to reduce my contributions to landfill space from disposable pens and refills.
That being said, the manufacturer describes the product as being a fountain pen with a roller ball tip. It is not a zero-fuss pen; when you refill it you will need to do some blotting with a paper towel or a clean rag as you would with any piston-fill pen. I've been using mine constantly and have had no leakage after this initial post-fill wipe down.
I keep a couple in my pocket to have different colors available for contrast when making notes. I just ordered three more for gifts.
Don't forget to order extra roller tips directly from Noodlers (four for US$1.00).
The only thing i miss in this item is tips with different line weights. I hope this is in the works (and would have garnered a fifth star.)
The pens are the same size as a 200/400-series Peilkan and will fit nicely in any compatibly sized pen case.
If you like the idea of reducing needless disposable pen waste, another item that I use every day is the Platinum Preppy Highlighter (about US$2.50)with replaceable felt tips. Although not presently available on Amazon you can pick up one of these with a converter and a bottle of highlighter ink and never throw out a used highlighter again!

I purchased this pen for someone who was going to job interviews to help him look professional but had to order another one for him because once I tried it, it became my most-used pen. I have many Parker, Aurora and other fine pens but keep selecting this one. It's comfortable to hold, the medium refill flows and it's handsome to look at.

Mont Blanc Starwalker Black Rubber & Metal Fountain Pen Review

Mont Blanc Starwalker Black Rubber and Metal Fountain Pen
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am pen collector with more than 100 pens in my personal collection; many by Mont Blanc. My wife bought me this pen as a gift. The primary issue with this pen is the poorly made plastic threads and their inability to hold up to "standard" use. When you contact Mont Blanc, they tell you this is "Simply normal wear and tear" and they will happily "Rebuild" the pen for $175. This occurs under normal careful use in less than 1 year. So if you buy this pen you are sigining up for $550.00 plus a charge of $175 every year plus the headache of managing a device that may fail at anytime.
On the positive side the idea is fantastic. It is a heavy pen with great balance. The pen cap screws onto the back during writing so will not fall off or damage the body during use.
For the price there are hundreds of pens better quality and with proven track records of performance. Since receiving this pen and its issues over the past 5 years I have spoken to the company 4 times with no resolution. It is now non-functional sitting in my display case where it will stay for life. Yes they market their pens to outlive their owners. This is just frankly not the case with this new line. Their quality has fallen and their service appears to be following.

Montblanc Meisterstuck Black Ballpoint Pen 164 Review

Montblanc Meisterstuck Black Ballpoint Pen 164
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Back in the days of my highly ego-motivated management work, I bought myself a present. I went walking into an Office Depot store one day and, with a sense of worthiness and self-deservedness, laid down about $80. to buy myself one of these pens. I had coveted them in the pockets and in the hands of others for many years - now it was MY turn! I bought a couple of extra (Medium Black) refills, put the thing in my shirt pocket and went on my way feeling as though I had just invested in acknowledging my own success.
Over the ensuing years (nearly 20 of them), I have used this pen nearly daily and while, at first, it seemed a bit to heavy and wide, my hand quickly adjusted to it's feel. I simply love it. The refills manufactured for it by Mont Blanc are, incidentally, FAR superior to the second-rung "Fits Mont Blanc" refills available at most office supply stores and are consistent with the instrument itself.
But, I am writing this review, in large part to comment on my experience with the Warrantee - said (and written) to be "... for the lifetime of the original owner." I have seen many such warrantees and guarantees in my life and have adjusted my expectations about their fulfillment down to a level commensurate with my actual experience. The Mont Blanc was an exception. Together with its flawless heavy highly polished black resin case, 24-karat gold appointments and amazingly smooth scripting, one needs to hold and write with it to fully appreciate both its enduring beauty AND functionality.
After about 15 years, something (I was never quite sure exactly what) happened that crushed the lower part of the pen. For a month or so, it sat in my desk drawer and each time I looked at it, I was saddened. The, I recalled the warrantee. I looked up Mont Blanc on the web, found the address and the instructions for returning a broken instrument for warrantee service. (It is all performed by the company itself - not, as is so often the case, by local "Authorized Warrantee Service Centers.") I sent the pen in, offering neither proof of purchase (which I had lost a good many years prior to this) and a check for $35., the then rate for handling, servicing, repairing and returning the pen. In two weeks I had my pen back - to all appearances, brand new!
I was both pleased and astounded. Although I have, in the meanwhile, retired from my ambition and returned to line-staff work, I still love and regularly use my Mont Blanc - trusting that should tragedy ever again befall it - the warrantee will still be there.
I also note that the current equivalent of this pen sells for something in the range of $230. Now, that's appreciation. Whoever would have suspected that for a pen?
So, like I advise people when they ask me when the best time is to buy their first home: I say, "As soon as you can", I also advise any lover or serious appreciator of fine writing instruments to consider the Mont Blanc Ball Point - not only because of it's unequalled quality as a pen - but also because of the continuing honor of a company that assures it's reputation remains upheld and deserved by providing the service they promised at the beginning.
