This is not my first experience with Noodler's ink. It is wonderful. The Eel inks improved the flow of pens I'd been having difficulty with. The waterproof(bulletproof) inks are exactly that, and will not run or smear if spilled on. Colors are true. I love them.

Noodlers Polar Black Bulletproof Eel Fountain Pen Ink Review

Noodlers Polar Black Bulletproof Eel Fountain Pen Ink
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This ink is as good as Noodler's "standard" Black, with one trade-off: instead of being perfect on bad paper, this one stays liquid far below the freezing point of water. This one is also designed to safely condition and lubricate the gaskets of permanent-piston pens.
This one is not good for two-sided writing on bad paper, but just remember that almost all fountain pen inks of any color are not good for two-sided writing on bad paper either.
This one, like Noodler's "standard" Black, is safe for writing checks and signing valuable or important documents. One behavior you might notice, if your pen's nib is an exposed metal surface (not covered with colored enamel), is that Polar Black spreads itself over exposed metal surfaces. This "nib creep" is harmless behavior because the ink doesn't run down onto the grip area. Wiping the ink off the nib is only temporary; more ink will soon spread to replace what you wiped off. Again, this is harmless behavior and a very small price to pay for the security of your marks, signatures and important handwritten texts.

Noodler's Eternal Luxury Blue Fountain Pen Ink Review

Noodler's Eternal Luxury Blue Fountain Pen Ink
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I write with Noodler's Eternal Luxury Blue ink all the time for secure recordkeeping (student attendance in the classes I teach; need I say more?) in a color that says, "original and handwritten." This stuff is just as tough as Noodler's (standard) Black.
Noodler's Eternal Luxury Blue is not as good for two-sided writing on bad paper as Noodler's (standard) Black is, but for the color blue I count that as a security feature. A photocopying forger would have to spend lots of time and money to produce a convincing color photocopy of both sides of a sheet of paper with exactly the same shadow-through and print-through of handwritten marks or writing in this ink, while a handwriting forger would have to try many times to produce marks or writing with exactly the same shadow-through and print-through.
One behavior you might notice, if your pen's nib is an exposed metal surface (not covered with colored enamel), is that Eternal Luxury Blue spreads itself over exposed metal surfaces. This "nib creep" is harmless behavior because the ink doesn't run down onto the grip area. Wiping the ink off the nib is only temporary; more ink will soon spread to replace what you wiped off. Noodler's Ink Refills Shah's Rose Bottled Ink - ND-19036 Review

Noodler's Ink Refills Shah's Rose Bottled Ink - ND-19036
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
People who know Noodler's will not be surprised by my ecstatic reaction to this colour of ink. I bought it for my wife (another fountain pen enthusiast) and she is overjoyed with it. The colour is hard to describe, it's a rather magenta sort of pink but more intense than pink and really 'pops off the page.' In other words, it's brilliant and beautiful, a very fine ink especially for women who seek femininity yet eschew the paleness and coyness of pink. We both think it's a great color. Also in line with Noodler's tradition of value, it comes in a three ounce bottle, about 1/3 more ink than one unusually gets per bottle and at a good price. In our opinion, this is a very fine ink and a good deal.

Noodler's Hunter Green Eternal Fountain Pen Ink Review

Noodler's Hunter Green Eternal Fountain Pen Ink
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I like fountain pens and ever since high school green ink has been my trademark. My pen is a medium nib Pelikan 200 (green of course). One of the drawbacks of fountain pens is that the ink is not waterproof so it is not good to use for checks or any place where there is any danger of the paper getting wet. I've tried a few "semi-waterproof" inks in the past but they never worked worth a darn.
Noodler's came out with an ink that is water soluble in the pen but chemically reacts with the cellulose in paper to be permanent and waterproof. This sounded perfect so I ordered a bottle in the hunter green.
I was previously using Pelikan brilliant green ink. In general you expect the best writing when you have the same brand of ink and pen. I found Noodler's ink to write better than Pelikan. It has better and more consistent flow. It writes better on cheap paper which caused skipping problems with Pelikan ink. My pen feels a little more scratchy with Noodler's ink so I think it must be a little less viscious than Pelikan ink. Noodler's ink also feathers more on rough paper than Pelikan ink did.
To me the color of this ink isn't quite right. It is more yellowish and lighter than I expected. To my eye it looks more like a Kelly green than a hunter green. The online examples looked like a hunter green so I wonder if there is a little variation batch to bath.

Noodler's Blue-Black Bottled Ink Review

Noodler's Blue-Black Bottled Ink
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a new fountain pen addict, I have to say that I love the Noodler's Ink. My bottle of bulletproof black is fantastic. While I get the same amazing quality of coverage and flow with this Blue-Black ink, I wish it was a little more on the blue side. In low light or on canary yellow paper, the ink can look almost black, so I can't really use it in combination with black ink, and be able to readily distinguish the colors.
I have been using this ink with a Lamy Safari and Waterman Phileas, both medium nibs.

Noodler's Bulletproof Bad Belted Kingfisher Review

Noodler's Bulletproof Bad Belted Kingfisher
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This ink is NOT water resistant! The manufacturer should clearly state this instead of making inaccurate claims about it.
When you immerse a paper after writing with this ink (and letting it dry overnight, just to be sure), the blue stuff starts to come off immediately and ends up all over the paper. What remains in place of the original writing is black-ish remains of formerly blue ink. Completely unacceptable.
In comparison, the Namiki blue ink, which is my main ink and which has never been sold as water resistant, is completely water resistant, without any trace of smudging or discoloration even after a prolonged incubation of written material in water.
On a flip side, Bad Belted Kingfisher is completely resistant to alcohol and bleach, as claimed, and in contrast to other ink I own. Another positive point is that this ink allows to write on very bad paper, even paper napkins, with minimal or no feathering.
Overall, most of what is claimed about this ink is true with an exception of water resistance. However, water for most people is the substance that gets spilled on documents most frequently, thus making the usefulness of this ink to protect the documents questionable. To be fair, I am leaving open a possibility that I just got a bad batch.

Ordered this ink for my new Lamy Al Star Fine (after reading how lousy the Lamy-issue ink was) and I love it. A nice deep blue. It flows well and dries quickly. I've been pleased with its performance in my everyday pen which I mostly use on 'lower-cost' yellow legal pads.

Parker Refill for Retractable Gel Ink Pens, Medium, Black Ink, 2 per Pack (30525PP) Review

Parker Refill for Retractable Gel Ink Pens, Medium, Black Ink, 2 per Pack (30525PP)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I enjoy professional looking pens. The trouble was that many use rollerball inks that skip and dry slowly on the page. The mass produced gel pens have won many people over to this fast drying, smooth gliding technology. However, the refills for these mass produced pens have been designed not to work in the professional looking pens.
With these refill I upgraded my Duofold ballpen to a Duofold Gel. The results are excellent with all the features of gel technology.
I have found many companies are giving away good looking tradeshow pens that take this same refill.
I could not find this refill in my local big box office supply store. Even so the best price was here. I highly recommend this refill.

Noodler's Bulletproof Bad Black Moccasin Fountain Pen Ink Review

Noodler's Bulletproof Bad Black Moccasin Fountain Pen Ink
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For some reason I thought this was waterproof....it is not. It's a lovely deep, rich black ink when laid down, but is not waterproof. I bought this to use in my Lamy fountain pen for pen / ink / wash sketches and drawings. I gave it plenty of time to dry (over a day) but when I touched my wet brush to the paper, the ink washed off. No watercolor washes with THIS ink !!! Guess I can use it for writing-entries only. Off to search for an actual WATERPROOF black ink !

Noodlers AIRCORP BLUE-BLACK Fountain Pen Ink Review

Noodlers AIRCORP BLUE-BLACK Fountain Pen Ink
Average Reviews:

This is an EXCELLENT ink. The color is unusual, and fairly "POPS" off the page, even when used with other blue-black inks. I find that the saturation qualities of the ink are great, no matter what type of paper I've used it on, but remain crisp of line. I normally trend towards the "brown/ sepia colors, but this is an excellent color. I think I'll try some Heart of Darkness (black) and/ or Lexington Grey next. I love the way this brand of ink seems to free up even some of my more finicky fountain pens.

Bad Green Gator - Noodler's Fountain Pen Ink Review

Bad Green Gator - Noodler's Fountain Pen Ink
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I generally like Noodler's inks and have a high opinion of them, so this one was a bit of a disappointment. The ink is "bulletproof" (a "warden's" ink) so I expected it to be a bit unusual, but... I must admit I did not like it. The ink was a dull green, so dull that the color seemed to get lost in the mud. In fine nib pens, it did not work. I tried it in a Sailor "cat" pen (EF nib), a Namiki vanishing point pen (F nib) and in a Lamy pen (EF nib) in all three cases there was failure to feed, such that in each case I had to re-empty the pen and clean it out. Even cleaning was difficult, the ink seems to have some sort of oily component that resists the mild soap and water solution I use. In the end after trying it in other pens I reluctantly gave up and it is now sulking in the "unused" bin of inks I have at home. Maybe I'll find a use for it someday, but for now, in my EF nibs (I write small) it was simply unusable. Try again, Noodler's!
