Waterman Expert Black Matte Ballpoint Pen - 75350 Review

I got this pen for my boss for Christmas. It seems like a very nice pen. It writes smoothly and appears to be made of heavy, high quality materials. It has a professional appearance. The wider barrell and appearance of this pen make it a nice choice for the professional business man.

Waterman Charleston Black GT Fine Point Fountain Pen - 30046 Review

In this price range you would be hard pressed to find a pen costing hundreds more that writes better. It's a beautiful pen and as with all Waterman pens I have yet to own one that had to be returned due to scratching. I own both the black and Ivory and have to tell you everyone falls in love with the Ivory, it's different, it's color is unique and the gold appointments puts it in a class of its own. I still long for the day I can bring myself to purchase the Montblanc Le Grand 149 for $700. LOL, that's a lot of money for a pen.
As with any fountain pen it's important to note the longer you write with it the better it performs as the point conforms to your writing technique and remember it's not a good idea to let another use your pen. I've always believed nothing writes as well as a fountain pen and it's a shame we're not permitted at work to use them for legal signatures. Dohhh! If the cartridge that draws the ink should go, simply wrap the threads with plumbers silicone tape and fill the entire barrel up with ink. That worked great with an older Japanese fountain pen, refilling is rare, LOL.

An entry level Mont Blanc will set you back around $500+, this pen is just as good. I am still using the cartridges, but I plan on switching to ink pretty soon.

Waterman Carene Deluxe Blue Lacquer Fine Point Fountain Pen - 11202W2 Review

This is a very nice writing instrument. It feels good in your hand, not too light or heavy, not too thin or thick. The ink flows easily, but not too much that you need to wait for it to dry. I'm a left handed writer, so I tend to trace my hand over what I just wrote, and with other fountain pens, I've ended up with ink all over my ring and pinky fingers. But, not with this pen. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I hate paying this much money for a pen. If you can afford it, I recommend this pen over similarly priced fountain pens.

Waterman Hemisphere Stainless Steel CT Pen & Pencil Set - 92004WHS Review

Waterman Hemisphere Stainless Steel CT Pen and Pencil Set - 92004WHS

My Waterman Hemisphere set is the best one I've ever had. Nowhere else have I found a ballpoint pen I like as much as this one. The weight is perfect, the mechanism smooth as silk. Plus the actual Waterman refills are the smoothest I've ever used, and they last a long time (I use medium point). No skips, blots, etc. As for the pencil lead, the size has nothing to do with the softness. Softness is variable, so for example, one scale of softest to hardest would be: 6B-5B-4B-3B-2B-B-HB-F-H-2H-3H-4H-5H-6H Pencil makers often use H to indicate a hard pencil, B for blackness (so a BB is very dark), and F to show it sharpens to a fine point. So you'll lots of combinations of these. As for the size of the lead on the Waterman Hemisphere, it's 0.5 mm. (Which you can look up online really easily.) It's a standard size, widely available. Happy writing!
