(More customer reviews)Reviewed using the Cross converter and Waterman Florida Blue ink: On inexpensive copier paper, this pen's medium point writes smoothly and wet, and has never skipped. It starts instantly after days capped, and is weighted and sized perfectly for an adult man, with an excellent grip. The converter is screw-in, a safety deal all converters should use. The section and barrel threads are metallic finished - if not all metal - with the threads not too loose or fine. The very slight closed-cap looseness doesn't effect performance. Posted, it looks much more expensive than it is, at current Amazon prices! Lifetime warrantee.

(More customer reviews)I first received a Cross pen for Christmas about six years ago, and it was one of the best presents I have ever received. I loved it so much I've tried to hunt down a similar version, which led me to this item.
Cross is no longer the icon it once was. Starting from the casing of this pen - it is cheap, almost plastic-like as opposed to the delightful housing of my original Cross pen, that has just the right amount of heft to it. The finish in real life is sadly no where close to as classy as the one pictured. It is a travesty that it is marked at $40, as it is not even worth the $25 I paid for it at Amazon. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the difference in quality between my old and new cross pens.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this as a stocking stuffer for my Sweetie last Christmas (2006). I chose it for it's stylish design and classic good looks. It was a good choice. He just loves this pen, says it's very comfortable to hold and writes smoothly with no skipping or blots of ink. In fact he likes it so much he refuses to take it to work, so that it won't grow legs and walk away when his back is turned. All of his other pens sit idle now as this is the only one he uses when at home.
Although it looks very elegant, feels good in the hand, and writes smoothly, it's just too bad though that this pen has not improved his penmanship.....
