With a Parker ballpoint cartridge at its heart, it will write beautifully and predictably and offer you the full range of Parker's colors and weights to choose from. The body has an excellent weight and balance and the gold and enamel finishes are breath taking. I gave this pen to my wife as a gift and she loves it. A writer by trade, she enjoys making journal entries and notes by hand, and this pen definitely increases the satisfaction factor by quite a bit, it's just so beautiful to look at. Just don't lose it! :)
