(More customer reviews)This is my second ACME roller ball pen. I received my first, Frank Lloyd Wright's 'Brick' design several years ago when I'd been looking at Monte Blanc pens and found them over priced for 'resin' and too light weight to my hand and writing style. The cap liner on the 'Brick' wore out a year or so ago and I contacted ACME in Hawaii to order a replacement liner, they sent me several at no cost with the simple instructions on how to replace the liner myself. THAT is customer service that can't be overstated in today's business world. The 'Brick' design pen is squared in style and while I have loved it, I've really liked the aesthetics of the rounder design that this 'Robie House' roller ball sports and so as a Yule gift this year, my wife ordered me one. It is every bit as nice as the 'Brick' has been, solid and smooth and very well and durably finished.
While I love the pens, I don't buy the recommended German roller ball refills. I actually prefer Pilot's G2 gel ink pen refills. They fit well as is, but perfectly if you snip off 2mm on the barrel and replace the stopper before putting them into the pen. They are about $1.50 each refill.
