(More customer reviews)Right of the bat, let me confess that there is limited practical use for this. I've only come up with one or two ways it might benefit the average user. Add to this the fact that you have to have a black light to use it, and it is hard to justify for utility.
That said, it is perhaps the most fun fountain pen ink I've ever bought! The ink flows about as well as most of the good inks I use, and so far, based on a week of ownership, I can't complain about it. The line goes down well. Under black light, the letters will either glow distinctly, or appear dark relative to a glowing area, depending on the paper being used. It's not something I see you filling notebooks with, so the very-full 3 ounce bottle may well be a lifetime supply.
As for fun, I've come up with several. There is the obvious "write a secret note" aspect, which is a joy for a five-year-old learning to read. I hand the pen to a coworker, and let him/her try to write: "It's not working." "It isn't," I'll say, as I flash the black light on the words they've written. I've also taken to putting all sorts of "easter eggs" on my notes--hidden things that only I might see.
I would recommend having a pen you can quasi-dedicate to this ink--you have to get the pen really clean for it to be truly invisible, and that's a bit of a pain to pull off. A demonstrator pen, such as a Lamy Vista, is great fun for that purpose (and not to expensive).
So, while it is not a practical fountain pen ink, and will likely create other expenses, it definitely is a way to make an old pen collector feel like a kid again.
