There is one important detail that anyone interested in purchasing this pen should be aware of. While it is advertised as having a medium nib ("M" is engraved on the nib), it is not a medium nib that one would associate with general writing. Rather, the nib is a medium stub italic (sometimes called a flat italic). This type of nib is generally more suited to calligraphy than daily writing tasks like, for example, note taking or issuing checks. This nib doesn't have the sharp edge of a crisp italic, but it is still pretty "toothy" and takes some getting used to before you're writing without a scratchy feel. The nib width is approximately 1mm.
