(More customer reviews)This is an example of a very well-made and balanced pen. It is in the smaller, compact style favoured by some makers, yet sits in the hand perfectly. The nib is flexible but does not have too much play, so it suits a range of writing styles. It is also very attractive, with a two-tone design. The resin is solid and shaped well and the sterling silver fittings are substantial, with the nice detail of a roller at the bottom of the clip. I doubt this feature matters much to the average user, but it is still an example of good design.
There is only one gripe, which is that this pen did not come with any cartridges. Luckily, these are easily available, either from Montegrappa or through other makers. It takes the standard 'international short' cartridge. One caveat is that Mont Blanc cartridges will not fit properly.
All in all, this is a great pen, especially for such a reasonable price. It looks wonderful and feels very natural in the hand.
