(More customer reviews)I have always heard that this was one of the best pens bang for the buck, to have. Finally got one after having my last FP die on me. I have used Parker FPs, Cross FPs and Waterman FPs, and must say that the difference is out of this world. The 18k gold nib is really smooth, compared to my last pen (a Waterman) which only had a gold plated nib. The Pelikan nib is available from EF (extra fine) to 03B (really broad point). I got the BB tip because I write in almost a Calligraphic hand, and must say that its smooth, and the ink flow is even, consistent, and the best yet. I do own other fine pens, such as the Mont Blanc Meisterstuck. In that particular pen, I went rollerball, because of the expense of the FP. The weight and balance on the Pelikan M800 is as good as if not better than the Montblanc.
