Smooth across the page when writing and the stroke is free of annoying skips, and best of all NO LEAKS. When I read earlier reviews, I was a little concerned about the placement of the pocket clip, but that is not a problem in the least, in fact, it helps orient the pen in the proper writing position. If you learned in grade school the proper way to hold a writing instrument, you should have no problem with this pen. The manual is a little confusing, but it takes only a few minutes to figure how to load the ink cartridge (if you choose a cartridge over filling from a bottle). I may never purchase another roller ball pen after bringing this wonderful pen into my life!
