(More customer reviews)This is a Cross. A fine writing instrument that is not among the most beautiful or a favorite of discriminating collectors. However, as a workhorse with class and distinction, Cross remains a favorite with the masses. One could do much worse than selecting this superb model as an everyday, functional writing instrument for the lower level employee. It will serve the purpose of giving the average penman a feeling of sophistication, but would not find a place on the desk of a self-respecting executive nor be considered worthy by the educated collector of fine writing instruments. That being said, it is sturdy, utilitarian, and handsome. It is odd that another reviewer should actually find this instrument dangerous and manage to find a way to inflict self-injury. One must wonder if a warning should be labeled on it, explaining that poking oneself in the eye with the Cross Apogee might cause blindness. From a close examination of this instrument, there appears to be no serious risk involved in using it as directed and no need for cautionary measures. That aside, the Selectip feature is always fun and an added attraction for the office cubicle crowd, sparking some ammusement and conversation. Enjoy!
