(More customer reviews)Noodler's ink is one of my favorite brands, and their great variety of colors is one of the reasons why. I bought Cayenne because I wanted a "blazing" red, not of the carmine/alizarin crimson/rose madder variety. I got what I asked for. Cayenne is indeed very red, and does resemble the redness of the pepper. Other reds seem "mellow" but this one seems to be "hot" instead. It is very vivid and pleasing to my eye. One complaint: it is not "bulletproof" to my knowledge, otherwise I'd use it to grade papers. But make no mistake, this is a great red. Incidentally, I also bought the color Habanero, also named for a pepper and equally blazing. Habanero however is a bit more to the orange side. Both are great inks, very vivid.
