(More customer reviews)The 405 is not an innovative pen. The main difference between it and other Souveran pens, is that the color scheme was black/blue/silver. However to me this color scheme made the pen simply splendid in appearance. The 400 series fit my hand well, and the pen showed the usual level of excellent Pelikan fit and finish. As usual, there were zero defects. The nib is a beautiful creation of gold and rhodium, not so large as to be flashy but large enough to be noticeable. This is now my favorite pen, and I already own two other Pelikans. Major kudos to Pelikan!
