(More customer reviews)Everyone has their own favorite ink, but most bottles make it difficult to get the last half out of the bottle and into your pen (or the last 2/3, if your pen has a particularly large nib!). The Montblanc "shoe" has a separate filling chamber that makes it easy to get every last drop of ink into your pen.
The Montblanc blue-black ink is a fairly dry iron-gall ink. I like the blue-gray color that emerges after a day or so. Wet pens with fine nibs work particularly well with this ink. Pens with medium or larger nibs may experience ink flow issues.
