(More customer reviews)The pen is slightly on the large size, but has a good feel. It is truly a beautiful pen. Another reviewer commented that the clip "roller" flew off. This fortunately hasn't happened to me, and I will be extra careful with it...perhaps use it for dress shirts rather than shirts that have thicker material. I was so impressed with the pen that I purchased one for a friend as well. Initially, I saw it in a store in Florence...that got me hooked.
I'm hopeful the reviewer who had to send the pen back to Italy will provide an update as to whether the pen was repaired appropriately.
At first I did not use the pen as much as I would have liked. I simply didn't like the way the ink came off the pen. Sometimes seemed to just smudge slightly, and I naturally prefer a finer line pen. After doing some legwork at a local stationery store, I found what for me is the perfect refill (the pen takes standard Parker compatible refills, don't buy the "rollerball" refills that are advertised on the Amazon site as they will not fit [personal experience]) The ones I found are from Itoya, "Parker style compatible" "QuickDry" Gel ink refill. These come in blue or black, and different size tips. The blank ink .7 mm "FINE" works great for me.
I think this pen is a winner, hope it stays intact for some time to come, and wouldn't hestitate offering it as a special gift.
