(More customer reviews)This is the pen I've been waiting for for Forty years!The feel, the writeing abelity and the fact that in 40 seconds you can change it to a rollerball pen with many size points and colours available,to me makes it the perfect writeing insturment.The fineliner tip comes with a cap so it will not dry out or leak in your bag. If you find the need to change tips. It feels a little big for about the first 10 words then your hand adjusts and you wonder how on earth you were ever able to write with the swizzle stiks you've been useing? It truly is the best pen I have ever owned and, being retired and old only god knows how many pens that is. I dont let anyone else use it, not even my grandson, or my son. I'm waiting for my next check and buying the Fountain Pen. It is so easy to write with that I'm even thinking about sending some snail mail and, I'm looking forward to Christmas cards. It is NOT a PEN for the "Thrifty" but if you know someone that is capeable of appriceating it, they will remember you, every time they pick it up or, take it from their pocket.

(More customer reviews)This pen seems to be made for women. It is thin as far as most fountain pens go. The ink flow is smooth and the nib is not scratchy for stainless steel. Esthetically, the pen is beautiful -- light and shimmery w/flecks of gold? or silver? The weight feels good in the hand. Not too heavy but it does feel solid. Overall, quite a bargain for the price. I will be using this one often!

(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful fountain pen, wow! Sexy and curvy, the matte silver meeting with a chrome portion just before the nib is so elegant. It may not be clear, but there is a pearl at the end of the clip, an unexpected touch.
With the cap off though the pen seems a bit short, only about 4 3/4". Still it's fine for a woman's hand. The cap on makes it feel a bit top heavy, but honestly this will not keep anyone from absolutely loving this pen.
It definitely has the "wow" factor, love it!

Sheaffer Skrip Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges Red - Pack of Five Review

(More customer reviews)On a certain level ink is ink - how much more can you say about it? There certainly are questions of durability, strength, permanence (also known as washability), and the tendency to bleed through a typical sheet of paper. On those counts Sheaffer Skrip is outstanding, especially in terms of durability and strength. What I particularly like about Sheaffer's Skrip is that it is less likely to bleed through a sheet of paper to show on the other side. As far as washability/permanence goes, both brands can be got out by pre-treating with Simple Green or hairspray (or both). Better still, Skrip works fine in my Sheaffer cartridge style fountain pens, but also some of the later production Esterbrook fountain pens. And more importantly Skrip is available in a far wider variety of colors than other cartridge-style pens (and their own bottled ink!) including turquoise, purple, orange, green, and brown. This gives writers a broader palate to express themselves, something to think about if you like writing with a little flair! While that won't likely lead to a renaissance of fountain pens, it certainly could liven up your daily writing. And thank heavens for online retailers, as these cartridges are getting harder and harder to find in retailers outside of stationary stores and pen shops.

I first bought the pen at a pharmacy and simply loved it. I had difficulty finding it (the pharmacy discontinued it). I googled and found it on Amazon.
Writes extremely well. The 0.7 is great but I prefer the 0.5 better.
The only thing is - every now and then, the pen's ink would explode on my hand. It happened about 1 in every 6 pens used. I initially thought it was the pressure from the airplanes as I travel a lot, but it happened at work with the pens left at the desk.. A bad flaw.
But it is the best pen I have used (other than the pricey Mont Blancs and Waterman...)
